Kotona blends high-quality storytelling with smart technology. Its AI-assisted translation process, developed with the University of Helsinki, makes Finnish-language journalism accessible to global readers. The project
was named Digital of the Year at the 2025 Edit Awards, praised as “a wonderful example of forward-thinking media development.”
